November 10, 2015: This is a fairly arbitrary date but it is as good as any other; it is the date of a TV programme in which a young Mexican woman named Karla Jacinto claimed to have been raped 43,200 times between the ages of 12 and 16. She has even testified to the United States Congress, but no one has cross-examined this woman. She claims to have been lured away from her home by a pimp then forced to work in a brothel. That she worked in a brothel is undoubtedly true. Did she do so while underage, which would make her treatment at least statutory rape? Maybe, but no one appears to have done any research on her at all, and why should they, after all, disbelieving the survivor is akin to a second rape, right? Or in this case a 43,201st rape.
Unless and until someone does some proper research on her, we will have only her word that any of this happened, but ask yourself this question, if a child between the ages of 12 and 16 had been violated a fraction of that number of times, even without excessive force, what would have been the result? Leaving aside the virtual statistical certainty of her contracting some foul disease up to and including HIV/AIDS, wouldn’t her sexual organs have suffered horrific damage? Not only that, she had a baby at 15. Was she still kept in this brothel while heavily pregnant?
Clearly if she had been raped even once, that was one time too many, but anyone who takes her ludicrous story at face value deserves to be deceived. Has anyone even asked her who footed the bill for her jaunt to Washington? File this one under BIG LIE, not by Karla, but by the people who are pulling her strings.
