April 11, 2015: Indiana State University student John Enochs has drunken sex with another student and is shortly accused of rape whereupon another allegation materialises from 2013.
When the case comes to trial, the rape charges are dropped and he pleads guilty to one misdemeanor. Naturally this caused outrage with campus feminists but this article dated June 28, 2016 gives a good overview of the facts.
Note in particular:
“...there is video evidence of activities of the complaining witness, before and after the alleged assault, which does not support the assertion of a forcible rape, which was the charge in this instance....There is also DNA evidence that is problematic, and made it impossible for us to prove that the defendant was the cause of her injury.”
What does that mean? The girl said she was raped but CCTV evidence said otherwise. Which would you believe? As for her injury, if you read between the lines, this was a young woman who had sex with more than one man that night. These cases really are absurd, or they would be if they didn’t destroy the lives of so many innocent young men, on and off campus.
