June 14, 2015: At Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania, Cheyenne Mathis is raped at knifepoint by a stranger with a Russian accent; she knew he was Russian because he kept saying “Keep still comrade, and you won’t get hurt”. The second part of that sentence is not true. Neither is the first part. The Russian was real, his name was Andrey Shevchenko, and he was more than twice as old as Cheyenne Mathis. The sex was real too, it was consensual, and took place at his home. He was arrested, and arraigned on June 17, but a detailed investigation turned up exculpatory CCTV evidence, and Mathis admitted she had lied.
