Sugar And Spice And All Things Dishonest

August 30, 2010: In the village of Bream, Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, a 15 year old girl from Lydney has sex with a 14 year old boy then accuses him of rape.

Eight days after the consensual sex act, she is accompanied by her mother to the police station where she lodges a complaint. The boy is arrested, and her story unravels.

The girl is charged with perverting the course of justice; at trial she claims she really had been raped, but as there were two others present at the time the two had sex...do the math.

I have to say I was not totally sure of the dates in this widely reported article, but the Daily Mail (linked at the end), almost certainly has it right. It was initially listed in this database as two different cases on account of that uncertainty. In addition to searching on-line I checked the hard copy of the local press without success. In view of the ages of all parties concerned, this is not entirely unexpected.

In the Guardian, rape liar Lisa Longstaff gives vent to her usual disingenuous flim-flam, but the fact remains this girl made the false allegation, repeated it, then continued the charade in front of a district judge. Harsh actions have harsh consequences, even for teenage girls under the age of consent. In January 2011, she is convicted of making a false allegation. An interesting comment from an earlier report was that the sex was consensual but embarrassing. As well it might have been in a room full of revellers! File this one under EMBARRASSMENT. This was also not the first false rape allegation she had made! Here is a lengthy report from the Mail Online.
