The above named article by Stevenson Swanson from the Chicago Tribune, June 2, 1985 can be accessed here.
The file actually contains a scan of the microfilm of the print version followed by the text in a clearer format which was downloaded from the newspaper’s website. (I have cleaned up the latter, but my time is limited so my apologies if I have not done as good a job as I might have).
The article covers the Crowell case which was very much in the news at the time due to her recantation, but it mentions also the case of student Donna Dugan.
To date – July 2019 – I have been unable to find anything significant about that case. If and when I do, I will add it to this file.
