August 27, 2010: At Hastings, New Zealand, Chantelle O’Connell walks into her local police station and claims to have been raped by two men that morning; she was kidnapped, thrown into a van, driven to Pakipaki and violated, but managed to escape and make her way to a friend’s place. She had a medical examination, which does not appear to have dented her credibility, but she forgot about CCTV, cellphones and witnesses.

In September 2010, she appeared at Hastings District Court where she pleaded guilty to making a false statement. Only one? And her a security officer too. Blame the website not me for the layout of this article.
