As she ended up at Chichester Crown Court, I would assume the Beetons lived in West Sussex, but such details are not important.
On January 30, Elizabeth Beeton tells her husband she was raped by a teenager named Daniel Boiling and a man named Gareth Horton. They are both arrested. On August 14, Mr Beeton calls the police again after his wife told him she had been raped two days previously. Considering what had happened twice between those dates, it is a wonder he didn’t have her Sectioned. What did happen then and afterwards is laid out in this judgment.
Elizabeth Beeton was given a four year sentence at Chichester Crown Court on April 20, 2007, reduced to three years on appeal. This one can be filed under DON’T BELIEVE A WORD – among others!
